How often do you wash your hair?

What is best for your hair type.

Shampooing your hair daily might feel good and healthy. But this may not be the best thing as it may not suit your hair type. Overwashing some types of hair can cause them to become dry, brittle, and frizzy. Do wanna know the ground rules on how often you can lather up?? Read on....

Washing daliy : Can be done for fine hair and most of the short styles as fine hair can become flat and greasy if left unwashed for too long due to the natural oils from the scalp. Short hair can become greasy quickly, too. Best Products: A gentle shampoo + a light conditioner (also called a detangler) with every shower.

Washing 2-3 times a week: Can be done for long, thick or curly hair as these kind sof hairs tend to become dry easily specially at the ends. And the reason for this is because the scalps natural oils have to go a long way to reach the ends of the hair. And if you are a person who washes the hair regularly this oil may also get washed out leaving the hair dry. So if you skip a day or two between shampoos it may give your natural oils to reach the hair ends. On these days imply style hair dry, or rinse with warm water, condition, then dry and style as usual.

Best Products for you: A moisturizing shampoo + conditioner.

Washing one to two times a week: can be done for very dry hair like those of Africans and/or chemically processed hair. This is because hairs like this are very porous and dry or they have been severely damaged by perming solutions, straighteners or colorings. So these hair need as less washing as possible and heavy conditioning packs every week.

Best Products for you: A shampoo formulated for chemically processed hair(which will be more moisturizing)+ a thick conditioner.
